The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada
and Fish Creek Provincial Park
invite the General Public to the
Fish Creek Park "Star Night"
On Saturday evening, March 19, members of the Royal Astronomical
Society of Canada, Calgary Centre, will have telescopes available
for public viewing. The event will occur rain or shine at the west
end of Fish Creek Provincial Park (Shannon Terrace Environmental
Centre). In addition to telescopes there will displays, computer
games/demos, talks and much more. Weather permitting, you will be
able to see craters on the crescent moon, star clusters, nebula
and much more.

The Shannon Terrace Environmental Learning Centre, Fish Creek Park in south-west Calgary |
| Directions: |
At the west end of Anderson Road turn south onto 37 Street SW. Turn east off 37 Street SW onto 130 Ave. SW (along the top of the hill on the north side of Fish Creek valley) then soon turn right (South) onto Woodpath Road SW into Fish Creek Park.
Wind down into valley toward the Shannon Terrace Environmental Learning Centre. (See map below.) |
